Junho had to admit, he was curious about Wooyoung. All Nichkhun's comments were probably getting to his head. His friend hadn't overly exaggerated Wooyoung's looks and Junho had to admit the boy was cute, and he was friendly enough. He wondered if his dancing was also as good as Nichkhun described it to be.

Junho thought he could hear the faint sounds of music as he walked. A few minutes later he found the source, spotting a small group standing in a semi-circle, watching the boy in the middle situated on a mat that was spread on the ground. The boy was in the midst of dancing and Junho could now clearly hear the music, Timbaland. The dancer hit each beat effortlessly, and it didn't take long for Junho to realize that it was Wooyoung that was dancing. It was the end of the song and Wooyoung ended with a comical stance, drawing laughter and hoots from the crowd.  He joined his friends and gave the makeshift dance floor to the next dancer.

Junho stopped in his tracks and hooked a thumb in his pocket. Wooyoung hadn't noticed him yet and Junho was never good with crowds, so he decided to hang back and watch the next dancer, already bobbing his head to the new beat.

He was taller than Wooyoung, his handsome face composed of sharper features. He seemed a little more built than Wooyoung was but then, Wooyoung was quite skinny to begin with. The male took to the dance floor, his movements different and yet for some odd reason, Junho found him more intriguing to watch.

The dancer had even turned and waved to someone in the midst of his dancing but Junho hadn't processed the action until the male stopped dancing, only to realize the only people left watching were him and Wooyoung. The dancer turned and their gazes met as he cocked a head and then gestured, prompting Wooyoung to turn around. His face lit up almost immediately.

"Junho!"

So much for going unnoticed, but at least there were less people now.

He finally walked over to the pair and raised a hand to wave. "Hey Wooyoung."

"Hey," he replied with a smile. "Didn't think you'd take me up on that offer so quickly."

"Yeah, I was actually heading to practice before I saw you guys. Though I'd come over and say hi. You guys are really good."

"Thanks."

"What do you practice?" the other male interrupted, not unkindly.

"I play the drums," Junho replied.

"That's pretty cool."

"Oh sorry. Junho this is Chansung. Oh yeah!" Wooyoung snapped his fingers. "He's my friend who eats too much," he announced with a grin.

Chansung blinked. "You go around telling people I like to eat?"

Wooyoung turned and responded with an innocent pout. "No... Just this once..." Chansung rolled his eyes. "It's cause Junho drew a really cool picture with fruits in it," Wooyoung exclaimed in his defence.

"Really? Music and art? Wow." Chansung paused. "Damn that reminds me. I have to help my mom with the groceries." He quickly grabbed his wallet and phone off the ground and walked over to pick up his bike. "Nice meeting you Junho. I'll talk to you later Wooyoung," he called back as he peddled away.

"He always forgets. He loses track of time so easily," Wooyoung commented with a head shake. "Hey, Nichkhun left?"

"Yeah." Junho finally looked away from the receding back of the boy and his bike. "He had to go to the mall for a bit."

"Mmm. I see." Wooyoung folded the mat and grabbed his speakers and tucked them in his bag, and proceeded to take off his shoes and replace them with his rollerblades. "Do you practice at the Conservatory of Music?"

"Yup."

"Cool. Mind if I join you on the way there? My grandma lives nearby, and I told her I'd visit."

"Not at all. So, how long have you been dancing for?"

As they conversed, Junho's mind briefly wandered and he wondered what Nichkhun was doing at that very moment. It was too bad he couldn't be there to see the expression on his friend's face when he received his text, the text telling the older male what he'd been up to while Nichkhun was busy roaming the mall

Served him right for agreeing to another date. Nichkhun really needed to stop being so nice sometimes.

~

Despite having company as the two roamed the mall, Nichkhun couldn't stop looking at his phone. He'd probably read the text message enough times to repeat it from the top of his head.

Guess who I met on the way to practice? He's really talkative. And you were right, he does dance well. Hope you're having fun on your date ;)

"Is that really from Junho? Why do you keep checking your cell? You're rereading that text you got from him earlier aren't you. Khun lemme see."

Que-Min could sure be nosy sometimes.

"Didn't you say you were thirsty? Come one, I'll get you a drink." Nichkhun motioned to a coffee store nearby. Temporarily distracted, she led the way over, scanning the choices on the wall. After buying their shakes, they headed to one of the entrances to wait for her ride.

"This was fun Nichkhun, don't you agree?"

"Yeah it was," Nichkhun said with slight nod, although he probably would have enjoyed it more if Wooyoung hadn't been on his mind the whole time.

"We should do it again."

That got him refocused. "It was fun Que-Min, but we're just friends. You know how I feel about these things," he replied, smiling gently.

Que-Min looked up at him quizzically. "It's Junho isn't it."

Nichkhun blinked up in confusion. "Huh?"

"You can't stop looking at his text. And I heard you guys went out for a while. How are you such good friends with your ex? Unless he's not you ex, and you're just doig this as a favor to me... Oh you're so nice Khun! If I was Junho, I'd be totally jealous if my boyfriend hung out one-on-one with another person. Oh, there's my ride! Thanks again Khun! Say hi to Junho for me!"

Before Nichkhun could utter a word, Que-Min had already given him a hug, waved goodbye and run off. Nichkhun let out a tiny laugh and shook his head. She was a nice girl, just a tad talkative sometimes. He smiled to himself as he turned to head home.

His smile turned into a full out grin as his thoughts returned to Wooyoung. The boy was even cuter up close. Nichkhun couldn't help notice the way Wooyoung pursed his lips when he was unsure of accepting Junho's offer or his startled expression when he realized he was running late.

And then Nichkhun remembered the way he had reacted during the encounter, and his face fell. Wooyoung, he boy who had captured his attention for the last few days had actually appeared in front of him, and what did he do? Shy away like a little girl and let his friend do all the talking. He let out a sigh, cheeks inflating and lips pursed. What were the chances that Junho had become good enough friends so that he could have a chance to meet Wooyoung again?

His phone beeped and he opened his cell to another text.

Don't 4get I'm supposed to be your model tmrw. Meet me outside the convenience store on the south at 2. Don't be late!

Nichkhun narrowed his eyes at the message. Usually their meet ups were at the Conservatory or the spot at the park they hung out most often.  They'd never met up at the store before but since Junho was the one doing him a favor, Nichkhun wasn't going to complain.

~

Nichkhun stood by a huge oak tree as he checked his phone for the fifth time in the past five minutes. The display told him it was 2:17. Figures Junho wouldn’t be on time and yet the younger male had the nerve to remind him not to be late. With a sigh, Nichkhun's head fell back onto his shoulder as his gaze moved to the sea of sky blue. It was a perfect day: drifting wisps of clouds and a bright sun.

“Khun?”

He thought he heard his name but he was too busy enjoying the beautiful weather to use the energy to respond.

“Nichkhun?”

Nichkhun finally looked back down, only to wish he would have done so earlier. He would have enjoyed looking at the person in front of him much, much more than the blue sky above.

“Hey, Khun. Your face is kinda red, how long have you been out in the sun?”

Embarrassed, Nichkhun took a step back into the shade of the tree as his eyes casually moved to the side.

“Yeah. I’ve been waiting for Junho. He’s running late, as usual,” Nichkhun replied, unconsciously fidgeting on the spot. “Umm, what are you doing here, Wooyoung?”

“I work here, part-time.” He nodded at the store. “I just finished my shift.”

A short trill caught the end of the younger male’s sentence and Nichkhun reached for his phone “I see… Sorry, gimme a sec.&rdquo

Something came up, can’t make it, sry! Don’t 4get your sketch is due tmrw =)

Nichkhun couldn’t help but groan out loud as he read the message.

“What’s wrong?”

The Thai made a face. “I was supposed to meet up with Junho so I could sketch him, but now he can’t make it.”

Wooyoung curled his lips inwards, causing his cheeks to inflate to the slightest. Nichkhun turned away as he felt the blood rush to his cheeks.

“You could always sketch him some other day,”Wooyoun repliedafter a pause.

Nichkhun sighed. “Except I need this sketch done by tonight, so I can hand it in tomorrow.”

Wooyoung nodded slowly, his eyes following nothing in particular. “Does it have to be Junho? I mean… I got time, as long as I don’t have to hold some awkward position for like an hour or something.” An awkward laugh escaped his lips as the younger male’s eyes met his.

For the third time in a span of minutes, the Thai could feel his face heating up.

“Umm, what? No, of course not,” he replied, stumbling a bit over his words.

“No, as in it doesn’t have to be Junho, or no, I get a comfortable position to sit in?”

“Both.” Nichkhun couldn’t stop the smile that quickly spread across his face. “If you could help me that’d be great.”

The two walked off, heading to the centre of the park where Nichkhun found a huge rock that lay embedded in the ground. He sat against a nearby tree and took out his sketch book.

“I don’t think standing on a rock for an hour is comfortable,” came an accusing tone.

Nichkhun looked up hurriedly to tell Wooyoung he’d never ask him to do such a thing but stopped short when he saw the other boy’s face- ooyoung was smirking. The older boy laughed, another grin taking over his face.

He pointed to the right side of the rock and Wooyoung obeyed, sitting down and leaning back against the boulder. After instructing Wooyoung to place his left arm on his raised left knee, and to stare off into the distance, Nichkhun began his sketch.

He was about done the outline and the figure curves. Ready to fill in the details, he looked up, just to see that Wooyoung had fallen asleep. A small smile sneaked its way onto his lips as Nichkhun couldn’t help but study the sleeping boy’s face. His eyes followed the curve of his lashes, across the bridge of his nose, down to a pair of lips that glistened as if Wooyoung had just licked them; the curve of his cheeks, down to his neck, along the edge of his collarbone that peeked from under his t-shirt.

Nichkhun groaned. He had better stop before he was caught staring.

He went back to his sketch, and after overcoming several temptations to just let his eyes linger on Wooyoung’s face, finally finished all the rough edges. He was in the middle of debating on whether to keep Wooyoung’s eyes closed, or to draw them open, when someone’s phone went off. Wooyoung’s eyes snapped open and he looked around, spotting Nichkhun.

“Can I grab this? Are you done?”

“Yeah I’m done.”

“Cool.”

Wooyoung fished out his cell with his right hand and pressed it to his ear. Despite Nichkhun telling him he was done, Wooyoung stayed in his position, his left arm still propped up on his knee.

“Hello? Hey Chansung- es I’m done work. How many times do I have to tell you? I finished at two-What? Um, I’m at the park…” Wooyoung hesitated, his eyes briefly meeting his before the younger male looked away. “Uh, sure. I’m in the middle, where all the paths cross, by the big rock. Okay, see you in a bit.” He hung up. “Sorry bout that,” Wooyoung said apologetically.

“It’s alright,” Nichkhun replied. In all honesty, he was busy adding more details to his sketch so it wasn’t a big deal. “I’m done, so you can move now.”

“I dunno, I’m pretty comfortable.”

Nichkhun laughed. “Yes, I noticed.”

He thought he saw a pink tint touch Wooyoung’s cheeks as the latter replied, “Yeah, sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep.”

“Don’t worry about it. Junho does it all the time.”

“Oh.” Nichkhun looked up just in time to notice Wooyoung plucking a blade of grass, fiddling with it between his fingers. “Do you draw him often?” he asked.

“Hmm?” Nichkhun raised a brow, turning his full attention on the other male. “Uh yeah. I think more than half my figure sketches are of him,” he answered as he went back to his drawing. He added a few more lines, accentuating the soft features on Wooyoung’s face.

“You guys are pretty close,” Wooyoung commented slowly.

Nichkhun looked up from his sketchbook. “Yeah, he’s-”

Wooyoung’s cell went rang again, cutting him off.

“Sorry,” the boy apologized as he answered it. “Hey- hat do you mean where am I? I’m by the big rock.” He stood up, dusting dirt off his pants. “Where are-” he pulled the phone away from his ear and stared at it with a confused expression. “He hung up on me.”

Nichkhun fought down a smile and simply replied, “Maybe his battery ran out.”

“Wooyoung!”

“Or not.”

Nichkhun glanced around to find another boy came trudging their way. He was taller than Wooyoung with a bigger build, and Nichkhun noted that he was also good looking, but the different type of good looking. The said boy smiled at Wooyoung before looking down and noticing the other presence.

“Oh. You’re-”

“Nichkhun,” Wooyoung interrupted. “Nichkhun this is Chansung.”

“Nice to meet you.”

Chansung was still smiling. He nodded in acknowledgement, and then proceeded to raise his eyebrows. “You draw too?”

Nichkhun shot him a confused look in which Wooyoung quickly explained,“Oh, Chansung met Junho yesterday.”

“Speaking of Junho, where is he today?” Chansung asked, looking around.

“Not sure,” Nichkhun replied “He ditched me a while back, but he’s probably at rehearsal now.” He checked the time on his cell. “I should be going,” he added reluctantly. He really didn’t want to, but he still had to add the final touches to his sketch, plus he had relatives over. He shoved his things in his bag and got up. “Thanks again, Wooyoung. Nice meeting you, Chansung.”

Nichkhun smiled at both of them as he was about to leave. For some reason, Chansung was also smiling but it didn’t seem like it was directed at him per say. And Nichkhun couldn’t help but notice the not-so-subtle glare that Wooyoung was sending to his friend.

He looks cute even when he’s mad.

Although Nichkhun had no idea what Wooyoung could be upset about, the image of the boy left him with butterflies as he headed home.
