I'm two weeks away from being half way done with my first quarter at UCSD. Thats fun. It hasn't been kicking my butt like I thought it would but it is definitely a challenge. The subjects aren't necessarily hard, per say, I think I'm just too exhausted when I get to them. However, I did get 100% on my first quiz and I'm fairly confident I got at least a C on my quiz in Statics. Programming is dumb though and I want to shoot the computer every time I try and do it.
This past week I got around 15 hours of tutoring which was a huge blessing. Of course it wasn't too much fun when I'd have to tell Brayton that we can't hang out because I have more kids to tutor, but he's a very understanding man. That said, I should come out around my budget which is awesome since I was beginning to think I'd come up very very short.
What else? Brayton's mom's friend, Rita, has Multiple Sclerosis and her husband died earlier this month so she lives in her house all alone. She offered the second bedroom and bathroom that they built to me and Brayton for after we get married for only $200.00 a month. It does have a clause, Brayton and I would have to do yard work and clean the house (respectively), BUT it is only $200 a month. This is SUCH an answer to prayer you have no idea. I mean not only could Brayton and I afford it, but we could also be saving around $1000/month for my school, his school, a condo, etc. If we were to move into an apartment we could barely save anything at all. In addition we'd have a washer and dryer, dish washing machine, and more! We'd also be allowed to paint/decorate our bedroom and our bathroom and it's all around the perfect thing for us while we're in school. I think Brayton is taking me to go see the house today!
That said, Brayton and I will most likely tie the knot this year then since the cost of living was what was holding us back. And with his new job and this new housing arrangement, money won't be much of an issue except to pay for the wedding!
That was me being happy and now I'm done. :)
