There are many things Ava likes about Boyd. The intellectual mind that seems so out of place for Harlan County sometimes, that voice that can charm anyone or issue a threat or command with carefully constructed syllables, or the hands with fingers that are sculpted to break or create, to love or tear, his devotion to her and love there.
Those are all good things, but they pale she thinks to his eyes.
His eyes are expressive, beyond what any normal human’s are, showing everything he feels in their mottled green depths. They carry weight, intensity, heat where they settle. Before they’d entered into their relationship, she’d thought them something even as her skin had itched when he watched her. Now her skin itches for a different reason when he looks at her.
And now she has his complete attention as she stands before him in the bar; the bar they now own, she adds.
Ava gives him a grin, her fingers rising to her shirt. “Don’t move,” she says, orders with a teasing inflection.
Boyd doesn’t move from his stool, and his eyes follow the movements of her hands as she toys with the buttons of her shirt.
She shivers under the heat in them as she bares herself one button at a time.
“Oh, Ava,” Boyd exhales, voice thick. “How cruel you are to ask me to not move. You are too much of a temptation.”
Her smile widens. “You will though, won’t you, baby? For me?”
“Temptress in red,” he sighs again, watching as she slides a finger across the red satin of her bra, but he doesn’t move. She has him.
There’s power in the heavy look he gives her as she slides her shirt down her arms to place it on the bar’s counter. She has his entire attention, all of his focus, and that excites her. The sling is gone, and it’s been too long since they’ve done anything. She reaches backwards and unhooks her bra, adding it to her shirt. The cool A/C of the bar hits her skin, pebbling her skin and nipples, and her fingers slide to the snap of her jeans.
Boyd watches her the whole time she steps out of her boots, slides her jeans down, until she’s naked in front of him. His eyes travel the length of her though he knows every inch of her now. “Ava.”
One word, just her name, dragged out into two syllables. She’s glad she made sure the bar’s entrance was closed and no one else was coming in.
She raises her eyebrow. “Well, you gonna move now?”
The bar’s counter is cold against her back as Boyd murmurs her name into her mouth as he kisses her, and she thinks it’s a shame he closes his eyes then.

You are super good with their voices, which I know is a hilarious thing to say at the porn battle but, yeah, I'm saying it anyways. Perfect dialogue for perfect fic.

I adore your Boyd voice, and I love the strength you give Ava in this - it's one of the major things I love about her character (and the show in general, actually).

I love that you focused on Boyd's eyes. They are amazing.
I'm so jealous you were so prolific for the porn battle! I just couldn't get the time/motivation to write this round. D:
