Supernatural 5x02 - Good God, Y'All

Jo and Ellen are on the previously! "Is this about me hunting, or something else?" OMG, please, please, please let them be in the episode! It will (almost) make up for the horror that was Chuck and Becky last week (even with a week's distance, I still can't think of last week's episode without shuddering, and not in a good way).

Castiel's powers are capped. Feels like a clunky plot device, but I'll run with it - it does make things more interesting.
Dean's opinion of God, at best dead, at worst up and kicking and doesn't give a rat's ass about any of us: that'd be mine too, the RL view, rather than my Supernatural universe view. Nicely put, Dean.
So God was the one who resurrected Castiel, directly. And put Sam and Dean on the plane. God's missing, but he's still a player.

I am so relieved they're not just putting all the demon blood addiction out of the way, Sam healed, no problems, tralala. And I love that we don't know if Sam would have tasted the blood if Dean hadn't walked in. Drama!

Oh, Sam, you need to be honest! With Dean, with Ellen. Gah.
Maybe it's the extra couple of years Alona Tal has, but whatever it is, kick-ass!Jo rocked. I was never wholly convinced in Jo as a hunter in season 2, but this was some impressive return.

Black-eyed Sam. Calling Ellen a black-eyed bitch. What the hell is going on?

"You want to take the Impala?" Okay, that's me in tears.
Damn. That was everything I love about the show back again. And with the bonus of being beautifully shot. Brilliant!
