Dean's personal guardian angel! Loved Sam's teasing Dean about the wings. And I loved your insight into Sam's reaction here - the guilt that *he* couldn't do it, and so on...
Hah, Sam teasing Dean about the wings just wrote itself - it was supposed to be this tender moment, and then Sam went all prankish!

I think that has to be there. The way he said sorry to Dean, that it wasn't him responsible. And all last year he'd promised Dean he'd find an answer - that has to have weighed on his mind.
I finished my Dean/Castiel coda, and that's at beta now! Whee!!! New SPN is so inspiring!
Don't get too excited! It's nothing porny, just a continuation of the episode, so Bobby's in the room! *g* But I had to do something, there's chemistry there!
OH MY GOD. I LOVE THIS. It's just what I needed, and wanted.
I'm so glad! I'm rarely bitten by the coda writing bug, but I just had to this time. And now I've finished writing codas, I can go and start reading them, yay!
That KILLED me. So perfect, and so appropriate from the look on Sam's face at that seance.
Thank you! That's what set me off writing it, that and Sam's apology when Dean tries to insist that it must have been something Sam had done.
I get why Sam is feeling jealous and I adore that Dean just gets it. It's nice how you showed their disconnection but still got that vibe between them, the easy camraderie, the playful teasing. It does good to my heart! ♥

I'm so glad that worked. Because I got that dual feeling from them in this episode, that desperate love and happiness that Dean was back, and at the same time an awkwardness, trying to deal with everything that's happened and happening.
I think that sort of resentment is inevitable - however irrational he might know it is, I'm sure he'd want to have been the one who saved Dean. So I'm really glad it worked for you.

This morning he doesn't pray.
He doesn't offer up thanks.
*sobs*
It was great, the serious parts, the part where Sam jokes about the wings.
This is my favorite line: "I just wanted it to be me." Sam laughs, a harsh sound.
