Here would be porn if I'd written any!

Hot! I love that you captured the adrenaline of the chase and the hunt. Made it even hotter.

Normally, Dean would be punching him. Anyone looking at his car cross-eyed ought to be punched, just on general principles. But cross-eyed isn’t exactly right, and at least he’s staying way over there by his piece-of-shit truck, looking but not touching ( ... )

Just picturing those two together... Guh, yes!

And Dean, with his “Napkins? From at least sixteen different locations...” - hee! So him.

I can just imagine Kaylee doing that (and I love the image of her, sprawled out on the bed). And Inara being so understanding about it.

I love the images here - there's a real Kaylee-sweetness to it, even when she's lying mostly naked on silk sheets! Just warm and lovely :)

I love the way that Inara touched her. I love the way they were sensual without being dirty. It seemed very natural and very much in character for Inara who is not a whore, but a Companion. I loved it.

It's the first U-Day in the history of Mal that it's come to be evening and he's not yet found a tavern brawl to instigate. He blames Kaylee, who has a way of lookin' at a man wheedlin'-like and implying with her eyes that he can go fight-hunting all he wants but if he expects anything more than a goodnight kiss later on, he'd best keep his nose clean.

"Well, what would you suggest?" he asks, exasperated. "I ain't celebrating the Alliance and I ain't keeping my mouth shut, and we've been holed up on this planet for near a week ( ... )

Oh, just perfect character voices here! Especially Kaylee's "You could try using your powers for good instead of evil and open your mouth around my quim," Kaylee suggests, and makes it sound innocent as drinking booze and toasting freedom with a backhand to someone's jaw.

I loved this. Loved that it isn't perfect (in all the ways you show in the last paragraph) but it's good, and it gives them a moment's happiness, and in the world they live in, that's enough to keep them going.

Yay, thank you! It's been awhile since I've written Firefly (or, um, anything) so it's good to find I remember them.
