meret has made me very happy: I have an insatiable lust for story covers, and she's made a lovely one for a Smallville story I'd actually forgotten I'd written!

Insta rec:
isagel has posted
a new section of Captured, the start of Book II - Domus! I have so much love for this story, and this is the perfect excuse to read
Book I - Villa Rustica all over again.
Also Smallville related,
this week's chat on
svroundtable is about writing tips, Smallville specific or general.

You folks who make clips from .avis - what program do you use? I've been using Virtual Dub, which is blissfully easy, but almost every clip I've tried goes progressively out of synch, especially if it's cut from the end of the file. Suggestions, anyone?

I'm off to catch the end of the Montreux Jazz festival, maybe squeeze in half a day of glacier skiing, and get to see some decent coverage of the Tour de France. I'm all packed and ready to go, even though I don't leave until tomorrow! If you get up to anything exciting while I'm gone, let me know about it! Be back Sunday.
