Man, that was a kick-ass Lucero show last night. The only glitch was that Goodman County didn't open for them; where were you guys,
bootgazer? Did I just make up that you were supposed to play? I was very saddened that you weren't there.
But Lucero was fantastic, as usual. Libby and I stood near the back and rocked out, hard. The price you pay for all that rockin, though, is a tired ass saturated in cigarette smoke, so after dropping Libby off, coming home, taking a bath, and crawling into bed, it was after 3 before I went to sleep. I was up at 9 to start getting stuff into the U-Haul, and after comparing the amount of stuff I have to the size of the U-Haul interior, I was ready to give up in despair. Fortunately, Libby and dad are expert packers, and we somehow managed to get all of my furniture, Rubbermaid containers, books, cd's, blah blah blah packed away neatly. So now we are ready to hit the road!
I'm sorry I didn't get to hang out more with cool people that I love before I left! Everyone is welcome to come visit me in Iowa any old time you want to. I'll be out of touch for the next week as I settle in and get things set up (the internet, for example, won't be functional until the 22nd), but don't worry; Yehudit will be back to full posting-mode sooner than you think. And now, for corn!
