hey there, hey there, darlin - don't break too many hearts

Been enjoying myself majorly since Monday.  wOOt wOOt.  After the Moops and I turned in our dissertations at about 11 on Monday, we returned our books to the English Faculty Library, indulged in some Burger King, and went to see Star Wars at the Odeon on George Street.  Then some smooching and naps followed by some pizza.  Nice.

Tuesday I got up and went swimming with Katherine at the pool in Summertown.  I relegated myself to the "slow" lane and lazily paddled around and around for about 45 minutes.  How I do love swimming.  Then to M&S for sammiches and then to town to accompany K on her battels-paying and errand-running adventures.  We went to art stores, we sat on the floor in the back of the Oxford Public Library looking at cross-stitch books, we had a kick-ass time doing nothing.  Then we went to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy at the Odeon Magdalen.  I don't know why it got such bad reviews; I rather liked it.  *shrugs*.  Then, as we were heading from the theatre to Old Orleans on George Street, we passed Borders and I noticed this placard that said Jonathan Safran Foer was giving a reading and signing books starting at 7 p.m.  At this point it was 7:50, so we went in to investigate, and he was still there!  Moops gave me his Everything is Illuminated a while back, but what with schoolwork and my addiction to mystery novels, I haven't yet read it.  But he has a new one out - Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - and I got that one signed for my Moops, as well as two copies of Everything is Illuminated (one for me and one for my friend Walter from home, because I just have a hunch he'd appreciate it).  It was so crazy that we happened to be walking past at just that moment, and Jonathan Safran Foer was so freaking nice!  It was great.

Then on to dinner with el Katherine o, followed by a bit of Moops time.  Hells yeah.

Then yesterday, I woke up feeling pretty blech.  I guess my body decided to get sick after I stopped going 90 miles an hour with work.  Moops and I walked to the Boots in Summertown so I could get some "Night Nurse" (Nyquil equivalent) and Kleenex, and then he let me lie around and be pathetic until it was time to go to Teddy Hall for Formal Hall.  I invited my coursemates Bea and Jack (and Jack's friend Phil) to come with us, and what a good night to have friends to Formal Hall!  The food was excellentay, and we had a kick-ass good time.  Afterwards we went to Keble's swanky bar (Jack goes to Keble) and made fun of the extremely drunk undergrads.  Mwahahahhaha.  Then back home to call my Ibbums and get some Sex and the City action before I took the Night Nurse and passed out.  How I love effective cold medicines that make me pass out!

Oh, and I finally got the new Lucero in the mail yesterday.  Consider my face rocked off.

And now for some of the Cookie Crisp that was delivered yesterday with all my other groceries.  Cakes, my dear, I will be thinking of you as I eat it!
