Spooky Justice!

As you may or may not know, Halloween isn't one measly night in San Francisco -- We in the city are wont to stretch it out into a week of festivities, up to and including Day of the Dead. It's pretty pimp! One must be prepared to interact with insane costumed revelers every day and night.

Let me tell you, I've seen Alex from Clockwork Orange making out with a caveman, a troup of devil girls take over Starbucks, and quite possibly the sluttiest werewolf costume on the face of the earth... But last Saturday night, was I ready to meet the ones keeping the peace behind the scenes?

It's way easier to pull off the Spartan threads when your half-brother is Aries, lemmetellya. I asked Wonder Girl where Arrowette was, and was told that she was taking a break from celebrating holidays for a while.

Superboy went the utterly tactless route, obviously. He assured me that Impulse was dressed to match, but I didn't see him. (Although it got really windy when he said that! Hmmm.)

Empress went the sparkly route as... an empress.

Robin went as an emo kid, naturally! :P

I have to say though, Secret was the cleverest, hands-down. Is there anyone in the universe more suited to making a Grey Ghost reference? No there isn't, my friends!

Slo-bo was hanging around at the back of the group, complaining that he didn't know why all these sorry bastiches felt the need to play dress-up. He ended up chasing me away after I asked him which KISS member he was supposed to be, so I never got a picture of him! The nerve.

That's all the pictures I got of that night, unfortunately. I wish I'd gotten more, there was a really good kid version of the Creature from the Black Lagoon. He was really in character, too! Kept saying it wasn't a costume and clawing at people. And then there was that one guy with all the glowsticks on him, he looked like he was rocking some kind of Spartan raver thing! Oh, and there was that one blonde girl dressed as Robin, that was awesome!

Happy Halloween, peoples. :)
