Well we are back from our apartment hunting trip to Seattle.
Here is the run down of what happened
Thursday -- We flew from Las Vegas to Seattle. We arrived around 10:30 PM got into the car grabbed a little bite to eat and and went to bed at the hotel. Alarm set for 7:45 since we had a 9:00 am appointment to look at several apartments.
Friday -- We found the apartments and met Bill. Bill is a slender older gay ginger man who used to be a flight attendant. He showed us 4 apartments. 2 of them looked okay, not great. They were kinda small for two of us and 2 kitties. The other two were small and laid out poorly. Off to Breakfast at Luna Park (yummy). We picked up our friend Steve at the train station and began our extensive search....After lunch at IKEA
Friday part Deux -- to summarize we had a few places call and tell us the places we were supposed to look at were rented. A few were in areas that were less than desirable. One had horrible carpet and another was in a nice building but STANK. Then we ran into a place run by Ed. The outside wasn't much to look at but the inside had great bones and large rooms compared to what we have seen so far. It was in the running. One of the larger of the places Bill showed us was too. We were driving around and noticed a "for rent" sign. We called on it and they said to come over. We dubbed it the Hippy House. The place looked great. It was cheapest and roomiest but the shoe dropped....no cats. We asked them to check with the owner to see if we could. It was a tentative possibility. The day ended with a trip to 13 coins.....better than we expected.

Saturday began early again and breakfast at Tommy's MMMMMM. then to look at more places. We looked at more places, and areas. Saw a nice place but it wasn't near any services. So, we put them on the back burner. Mike got a call from a lady who had a 1100 sq ft bottom level of a house and scheduled to see them in the afternoon. We spent sometime driving around the neighborhoods to see what was there. So we drove up to the place. To sum it up we loved the place.....it was big and roomy. The landlords were a lesbian couple who were really cool. We had lots in common with them (except the vaginas). One of the women is allergic to most cats but one, Devon Rex cats. We have two of them so they were cheering as were we. As we left I heard one say to the other "Do you think we should cancel our other appointments? We debated it for all of an hour, over pizza and decided to call them back and tell them we wanted the apartment. Five Guys Burgers for dinner and we called it an early night. Ahhh sleep.
Sunday -- Started the day with Pancake Chef (old fashioned yumminess), then we filled out the application and drove it over to the house. As we gave them the application. They were showing the place to another couple but we were told that they only were doing it cuz they couldn't get a hold of them in time to cancel. They told us about how they love to decorate for the holidays. As we left she said, "Welcome Home"
Waiting time
Sunday night -- After taking Steve to his train, Mike and I went to see an excellent film called "Ticked off Trannies with Knives". It was so much fun. Transploitation film featuring Tranny McGuyver's William Belli. Awesome indeed
We flew home Monday AM....flash forward to June 16, 2010 at approximately 20:00 hours we found out we got the place....YEAH now we have a place for our stuff
More later...
