Finished my porch....it's OK, not as good as I could do if I had, say, a year to perfect my carpentry skills, but you can walk on it and it doesn't fall down...I put plastic wood on it and filled in the Grand Canyons between the joints and sanded it down pretty well. It's really not bad....I got paint all over me but that's OK, too. I always get paint all over me...
Put down mulch, mowed, weed ate (passed tense ?), planted flowers around the mail box, put up a new gutter and painted the fascia boards, new boots around the commode vents, secured the flashing around the attic vent, trimmed the holly hedges and repaired the lattice work around the under side of the porch.
I'm now absolutely filthy, drinking my second glass of wine and because my wife's out of town visiting her mom, I'm gonna lay down on the couch in my nasty clothes and put my feet up without taking my shoes off.....I'm such a rebel....
