Indiana Jones, Crystal Skulls, etc.
That movie really needed an editor.
If I had gone in without any expectations, it would have been pretty good, but even then there were some bumps. Ferrett made some good points here. Mostly: 1.) Entirety of Mac character - completely terrible. The worst was the "I've fallen and I can't get up" scene at the end. Recommendation: omit this character entirely, Phantom Edit style. Movie is instantly better, if slightly more confusing. 2.) Marion Ravenwood character - remember to include her in last third of the film. Also, get Karen Allen a trainer. 3.) Given what happens when the skull is returned, how exactly did someone take it in the first place? "Pardon, Near-Omnipotent Alien Being - may I borrow your, er, nugget?"
So anyway, disregarding all that, good enough. I didn't need to see it in the theater, though.
