Not ganked from anyone this year, because I wasn't crazy about any of the variations making the rounds, so this is
last year's variation, adapted slightly.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? More. More, more, more. So much more.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? Considering that I hadn't even played Dragon Age in January, I think this is the obvious answer. Also, I wrote the Babylon 5 fic in January, but would I have guessed that on January 1? No, I think not.
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest? That's a tough one, because I really like a lot of what I wrote this year. Maybe "The Joining", maybe "Hard Truths", maybe "Duty"? It's a hard call.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them? New fandoms! Posting in new communities, signing up for new challenges, moving way the hell out of my Final Fantasy comfort zone. So scary, so worth it.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?
Yes. From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: Sometimes I can pick this, but not this year.
My most popular story of this year: The story that got the most hits was "Terms and Conditions", and it got quite a few nice comments as well, mostly on Dreamwidth. In terms of the strength and speed of response, though, the winner is definitely "Like a Glove".
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: "Stages of Grief". Quite a few hits, several kudos, but only one comment across all the places it was posted. Maybe I just wasn't feeling the porn that day.
Most fun story to write: "Lost & Found". Also "Like a Glove", "Hidden Treasures", "The Joining", and most of the shorts.
Story with the single sexiest moment: "Arrangements". M/F/M threesomes, yum.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Lots, but let's pick the Aeducan/Alistair/Anora stories. I've gotten a lot of insights about each of them individually, and how they connect to and parallel each other. Very fun.
Hardest story to write: "The Way to a Woman's Heart", oddly enough. I wouldn't have expected a bit of Alistair/Cousland fluff to be such a struggle, but it really was.
Biggest Disappointment: Writing so little FFX fic. I wrote more X-2 stuff than I remembered the other day, but nothing FFX-specific at all. I'm starting to think it might be time for a replay. It's been much, much too long. Maybe I shouldn't even wait for the HD version to come out.
Biggest Surprise: Can you say Dragon Age? Brand new fandom, brand new OTP (Alistair/Warden, especially Alistair/Aeducan), massive creative outburst. In 2010, I published 20 stories total; in 2011 I published 26 stories for Dragon Age alone (not including the ones I didn't post to AO3). Surprising? You betcha.
Most Unintentionally Telling Story: "Brotherhood". Playing DA2? Oh, an excuse to write about Alistair? If you insist.
In conclusion: I don't even know what to say, really, that I haven't said already. It's a new chapter in my fandom life, and it's big and scary and really exciting. I hope I can keep it up.
