A) Class registration at Bard is, in Mike's words, "like a scavenger hunt in a bureaucratic dystopia run by Sylvester McMonkey McBean". Flynn did warn me. Managed to get the following (two of which were my first choice. Really didn't want a Lit class on top of my FySem because that is a terrifying amount of reading, but every single art history, political science, studio art, theatre, and social studies class was closed, and in order to take a math class I would have had to pre-register, so it was time to fall back on my list of Lit classes to take "next year or next semester if FySem isn't too hard"):
Mondays: Milton (1:30 to 2:50)
German I (3:10 to 4:10)
Tuesdays: FySem (8:30am - 9:50)
The Weary Titan: Britain in the 20th Century (1:30 to 2:50)
German I (3:10 to 4:10)
Wednesdays: Milton (1:30 to 2:50)
German I (3:10 to 4:10)
Thursdays: FySem (8:30am - 9:50)
The Weary Titan: Britain in the 20th Century (1:30 to 2:50)
German I (3:10 to 4:10)
Fridays: Free!
So. Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be rough. But I have Fridays completely off and Mondays and Wednesday are slower (and don't start 'til 1:30) so I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. There's still an Add/Drop period if it turns out there are studio arts or something not reading-based that has slots open that I want to take, in which case that Milton class is gone.
I am so excited about that history class though you guys. And to actually be able to speak German! Oh man oh man.
The second thing! Is an appeal to those of you well versed in dreaming and associated magicks: My roommate suffers from recurring, near-nightly nightmares, and I want to do something to help her out but I'm not sure how, hmm, open she is to energy works and such things. Are there subtle, space-affecting things that I can do, rather than shoving my dream-warrior self into her nightmares and destroying them, wings blazing?
TO CLARIFY: I know exactly why she's having nightmares, and they stem from trauma that I'm not going to specify, out of respect for the trust she showed in me to tell me about it. I just wanted to know if there's anything I can do to help her.
