Encouraging
I watched a documentary about burlesue this evening.
It was so encouraging to see that a very much 'larger' woman won Erotic Dancer of the Year, and her younger much more lithe colleagues spoke about how much they admired her and other older counterparts.
This woman talked about how she had for all her life been ridiculed for being larger, and that success in the burlesque world had improved her self image and confidence.
It is just wonderful to see how a community can be inclusive and work to support those who aren't so obviously of the 'in crowd'.
