Would have posted sooner, but LJ & FB were blocked at the hospital.
Arrived at hospital for VBAC, was 8cm, 90%, baby at -2.
90 mins of pushing and there she was, hollering her head off. She even had a fist by her face, when i pushed her out!
No pain meds. Only intervention was that MW had to break my water, but I was at 10cm, when she did it. Had an IV of glucose for my energy level, got some Pitocin to clamp down my uterus after the placenta was born. That's it!
All in all, a very successful, natural, VBAC.
- when they laid her on my chest, all I could say was "I did it, I did it!" over and over.
Elaine, 35 mins after birth, latched on and ate for 20 mins on each boob! What a champ!
We are home now, trying to settle in. Whee!
