i bought two saris in vancouver about a month ago, and today i finally learned how to put them on. our neighbor is indian, and she had a lovely time being all girly and such. i feel feminine without being cloyingly so, elegant, and very very pretty. i was having some worries wearing the green one to my cousin's wedding, because i didn't want to look too out of place, but actually wearing them made me feel just so pretty. so fuck the conservatives, and i don't care if the wedding's at holy names and the reception's at some stupid downtown country club. however, i DO have a backup dress which i very much like, so we shall see.
