Mmkay, so my friend commits suicide (
http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/news/archive/local_22864836.shtml) and has a funeral. That's normal. There is an open casket at the church and music playing in the background. Normal. The song playing is "Whiskey Lullabye"...for a suicide... This is odd. We get seated and the preacher begins speaking...a female preacher...with a lisp...like "Mawwage. Mawwage is wut bwings us togewver todway." type of stuff. It's hard to keep from chuckling at this point. The first song starts playing. At a funeral for a person that commit suicide by jumping off a bridge into a river, the family thought it fitting to have "Bridge over Troubled Water." At this point I have to ask myself, 'Are they stupid???' Yeah... Brandon left me a hug for Roxy, many people said 'Hi' and such, many "Where's Roxy"s, and a few...'other' things.
Then I stupidly brought my friends to see my parents...and Steve. Steve, after being left alone, asked if I was gay...then bi...got any tattoos, piercings, drunk, right down the line. Parents came. Same line of questioning, except they stopped after "Is he gay?" Meaning that was the only question. Then Joyce said, "So he's bi." It got progressively worse, but the details are not to be written. They include much amount of sadness to the three journeyers and feelings of guilt all around...especially on my shoulders for bringing them and putting them through that.
Missed class this morning, but didn't get back until 1am and I was exhausted...crying that long will do that.
