From anthimaeria - List 10 books you have on your bookshelf that you think nobody else on your friends' list has on theirs.

1 - Traveling the Trinity Highway - Ben Bennion and Jerry Rohde
An account of historical and current things along California's Hwy 299 (Arcata to Redding). Bennion was my prof, and I helped a little with the book, as did many other students.

2 - A View From the Hill : A HIstory of Humboldt State University - Bill Tanner
Also written by a former prof (freshman US history 101) about my alma mater.

3 - Painting Revolution : Kandinsky, Malevich and the Russian Avant-Garde -
Purchased at Portland Art Museum after viewing said exhibit.

4 - Cab 10 - The West Coast Cabbie - Randy Collenberg
From my FIL, who knew the author, a cab driver around Arcata, CA.

5 - Art From Found Materials - Mary Lou Stribling
Just like it sounds.

6 - Roadside Geology of Oregon
Because I'm nerdy like that.

7 - The Homebrewer's Garden - Joe Fisher & Dennis Fisher
I used to live on 7 acres and thought it might be cool to grow stuff, but never made any real effort to do so. Then we moved to a tiny house and dh took up brewing again. Now I just wish I had a spot to grow some hops.

8 - Sake (U.S.A.) - Fred Eckhardt
Because sake is yummy and good stuff is made locally.

9 - Ancient Ways : Reclaiming Pagan Traditions - Pauline Campanelli
The only book on my list I thought someone might have...

10 - The Far Out Story of Vortex I - Matt Love
I used to live 5 miles from the state park that held The Vortex I. From it's wiki entry: "Vortex I: A Biodegradable Festival of Life, more commonly known as just Vortex I, was a week-long rock festival sponsored by the U.S. state of Oregon, and held in 1970 in Clackamas County near Portland. Held in order to prevent violent protests during a planned Richard Nixon appearance in the state[1], it remains the only state-sponsored rock festival in United States history.

There is a movie as well, which is pretty interesting.

Did I win?
