Liberty Meadows
This is a one page fan comic I drew in 2001 featuring characters from Frank Cho’s newspaper comic strip Liberty Meadows, as syndicated by Creators Syndicate.
I sent this comic to Cho with the idea that he would publish it in the back of an issue of the Liberty Meadows comic book (in place of the stolid text pieces that filled out each issue of comic strip reprints), thereby precipitating my rapid rise to the status of world famous cartoonist. To the best of my recollection, this didn’t happen.

Useless Trivia:
This strip was modelled on a series of Cho’s own comics that dealt with the character Ralph the pig’s misfortunes with women in bars.
While at the time I drew this comic I was obviously a big fan of Frank Cho’s work, I eventually lost interest in Liberty Meadows when I realised that Cho was more interested in drawing unfeasibly large breasts on every female character than he was in writing consistently funny comics. If I wanted to look at soft porn, I’d buy soft porn. Or Danger Girl.
I was surprised to find that this comic didn’t have a date on it when I dug it out of my folders, but I’m pretty sure the 2001 timeframe I’ve given it is pretty accurate.
