Since I'm dead now and all, let's talk about your "less insane theory"
What did you think I am? I am allowed to role reveal, and clear up any possible confusion that might have occured.

Thought you were the Grave Robber(did you get my hinty hint when we were talking about it? I said I didnt want to dig my own grave i thought it was clever but meh), and that one of the mafia godded innocents or maybe Nancy had been the Lawyer (hence why you said you didnt think it was Janeway, because you'd recieved the role)

But then last night the lawyer struck again(which you'd have lost of you were the grave robber). And you were the only one not really suspicious of Holtzmann so... after last night I thought you were just the plane old Lawyer.

I didn't get your hint, no, sorry. I didn't realize we even had a grave robber. ((only checked the roles list for real last night *LOL* ))
I can say that I was the lawyer though. At least for 2 nights. So I used the role on myself night 0 and night 1. I should have been protected day 1 and day 2.
I knew for certain that Janeway wasn't lawyered day 2. Yet, somehow... she was lawyered. Thank you, Bus driver.
Anyway, by day 2 itself, I wasn't the lawyer anymore. (but I was told that my lawyer-ing for night 1 still counted).

So I can say for certain that it wasn't ME who lawyered up Holtzmann.
Maybe that'll help you trust her a little bit more today, too.

I guess...it might explain why she wasn't super panicked.

But she said some things about the lawyering, didnt she? Where she assumed Janeway was the lawyer? Ill have to go back and look. For now, it does make me feel a bit better.

Can I ask then, why you thought Janeway was innocent? Id been going off the theory that you'd grave dug some sort of seer role (either seer itsself or chameleon or something) or some other role (like maybe chanel was the healer or something and you'd healed janeway day 2 for some reason so you thought she was the assassin target)

Now Im curious what made you vouche for her.

Maybe. Probably.

I'm not sure. Regardless, if you steal a role, you can never be sure whose you got. So even if she got the lawyer role that night, she would have assumed that she got it from Janeway, since she was the one who was lawyered.
I'd definitely pretend like she's the lawyer, too, if I stole her role.

I wasn't 100% sure, and it was actually a bit of a risk.
But since I was the thief night 2, I figured I might try to steal Janeway's role, just to make sure she's innocent.
If I wouldn't get something back, we'd be back to square one, but I'd be more suspicious of her, and if I got a role back, I could at least believe that the lawyering wasn't a screw up.
I got a role back. I'm not sure it was hers, but it made me feel better about the lawyering and her.
Sometimes I like to take risks. Nothing is 100% certain until you're a/the seer anyway.

Well, you were both innocent, anyway.

Again, not surprised they chose you. Sorry they did, though

Thanks. Being a ghost is surprisingly fun though.
I'm gonna haunt the crap out of those assassins.

((Hmmm, I wonder how Lawyer is being used in this game? When I had the role, it was a day role that you used as you observed the voting and whomever you saved, the person with the next highest votes got lynched. That's not happening here.))

((The way it worked when I've played with it in a game -- all of twice, I admit -- you turn your choice in at night along with all the other night choices. But you aren't the only person to mention the day version, I've just never seen it like that.))

((I've never seen THAT day version. and I've played a million games. I think what chamilet is thinking of is the president.
President can veto a vote (most likely when they're about to be lynched), and pick someone else who is then lynched in their place. ))

((Nope, the one time I was the Lawyer, that's how I was told it would work (which makes more sense than saving an unknown, I think, except the bit about the next highest vote getter being lynched.)))

((Weirdness. I think the night version makes more sense tbh.
And usually you wouldn't try to save an unknown, since you can pick yourself over and over again.Which would be the smart thing to do, because you know you're innocent.
If things go bouncy, it gets tricky, but at least YOU would know what happened, because you know a nexus can't have been in play. ))

((I was only allowed to save someone once (if they were up for vote again, too bad, although probably not going to happen if the Lawyer vouched for them) so it was totally different to how you played it.))

((yeah, weird. Definitely sounds like a variation of the president though. ))
