Wow, after the insanely busy summer, I can't believe that Bethany will be back so soon. I am excited.
well lets see where I start.
RA training is complete. Yes that's right, Rhodes is going to let me be responsible for other people... if they only knew. (j/k) Seriously though, I think I will make a great RA. Apparently so do my fellow RA's. We played a game where we sat in a circle with our backs facing inward and with 5 people at a time, a list of qualities were read and the people in the middle would touch someone on the back who reminded them of the quality or statement. I got touched alot, and after a while felt like I was going to cry...(is it a joke or not, the world may never know.) It just made me feel really good. I always try to be fun and happy while still being a good leader and I guess I was able to convey that message over Training. I have 60 residents, the most out of all the RA's and they usually don't let First year RA's live in East Village, long story short, I guess they saw a lot of potential in me and I want to make sure I don't let anyone down.
I am very excited and nervous about all of it, I lot of the first year RA looked up to me since I am one of only two seniors who are first year RA's (Get it Penden Madmar...lol.) They keep saying if they have any trouble they are gonna call me to "regulate" or "bring the pain" I can't wait.
Also RA training was cool since I got to meet a lot of new people and get to know some people I already knew a lot better. Monica is a extremely cool girl and Patti and Will are hilarious. I am gonna do my best to make sure we can still have as much fun during the school year.
As I expected, life after New York was pretty hectic. It was all work and NO play. It is kinda hard to believe that with school starting, I might be able to relax again. Since I don't have class on Monday or Friday, I might get to sleep in on some days that I don't have to go to work...like that is ever going to happen. I am currently in the middle of what I like to call "double weekend." One of the prices of RA training is that lasted an entire week. The only way to off set that is to work as many hours in as little amount of time as possible. Translation, three double's in three days. It's fun, I think you should all try it.
Now for the really fun stuff, I have lost my cell phone. I am not really that bummed about the phone itself, it is more the sim card in the phone that holds all the numbers. there is like 3-4 years of phone numbers on that card. I needed to get a new phone anyways but the card was priceless. I am going to give it a few days before I break downs and buy a new phone. But if I ever had your number or you want to give me your number, now is the time.
I spent about three hours rearranging my room last night. But after the blood, sweat, and tears...I think my room finally kick ass. I have two twin beds in there so it will be a good place for Bethany and I to hang out and relax with tivo of course. Patrick has already moved in and I think the apartment is gonna rock.
Finally, for some reason towards the end of this summer, I have been contiplating alot about the last year and have really wanted to talk to some people who, after the way I hurt them, may not want to talk to me. I talked to one ex-girlfriend briefly but it seemed like she wasn't ready to talk since I am still waiting for her to call me back. I just don't want it to be weird at rhodes and I just want make sure she is doing okay. I also just recently found out some really bad news about another ex but I don't think she will ever want to talk to me again. I just don't if it is my place. Feel free to comment and discuss among yourselves.
Anyway, livejournal makes doubles go by a little easier. But alas, I must return to work.
Until next time.
