GP-led commissioning boards. Sounds so technical, doesn't it.
There is an interesting account in the British Medical Journal as to just how bad these proposals are, and it's scary.
To quote from the article:
The government proposes a commercial system in which the NHS is reduced to the role of government payer, equivalent to Medicare and Medicaid schemes in the US.
I'm seriously thinking about trying to make it along to the
March to Save the NHS tomorrow evening. Really hoping it doesn't turn nasty though...
