WELL OKAY ONCE I FINISH RAMBLING ABOUT FRED AND CIELO
I should check my vids to make sure that Cielo really only took responsibility after Roland was out of the picture, but eh, whatever.
Cielo's role also tends to be that of emotional stabilizer? I mean, even with the Embryon where he is the youngest of them and the most kidlike, he'll tend to be the one keeping the situation light with his not taking things seriously, like when Lupa's expositioning. He's the comic relief and I'm really pretty sure he realizes that.
But he's also equally comfortable being the older brother rather than the younger brother, and that I think, ties back into Cielo's past life. When I'm figuring out how his past life worked, I tend to model his relationships with the other Cyber Shaman candidates mostly off his relationship with Fred. And Sera, of course, but Sera's so fundamental to the Embryon that it throws off their behavior. But in the Cyber Shaman testing, I imagine he'd be used to being pretty much the oldest kids, and trying to take care of the younger ones. And I think Fred brings out that side to him.
Something I've noticed when playing out Cielo assuming a big brotherly kind of role in camp is that it's almost a whole different mindset. With the Embryon, he tends to be loud and flaily, but he tends to be gentler and more firm around people who he's pegged as younger-sibling types.
I dunno what point I'm aiming for. Cielo's an awesome big brother type as well as being a hilarious younger brother type I guess!
