Finally an Update
It's been a while since I updated my journal, so I figured I'd try to bring it back up to date. Lately, it's not been anything terribly exciting, I'm afraid. Research has been research--mainly I've been poring over charters and records pertaining to different Scottish churches, abbeys, &c., trying to find both where members of the Lindsay family have either donated land/money to the church and where and when they appear on the witness lists. I'm planning to change tack a bit, and look at financial records in the hope that I'll find something a bit more interesting.
Outside of schoolwork, my main entertainment has been going to the pubs. Tonight I went out with a few friends for dinner, and then we wound up in what appeared to be an Irish Pub by the amount of people drinking Guiness. I believe it's called "Sandy's." I wasn't really paying much attention. Anyway, they had a nice selection of single malts there, which I chose to enjoy, as well as the live music, which featured a fiddle and some pipes and was rather celtic sounding.
Other than that, life's just been life. The weather's been surprisingly nice for Edinburgh--plenty of sunshine and clear skies.
