i skiied for the first time yesterday. dan convinced me to ski down a blue diamond aaaand i said okay but since i had no idea how to stop, i flew halfway down the mountain going ridiculously fast til i couldnt turn and turned some flips and slammed into a snowbank and almost hit a tree(!). i was traumatized, kept falling, kept mouthing obscenities and crying my eyes out and a very nice man gave me a sled ride down the rest of the mountain.
i wanted to give up but when everyone was way too good to stick around on the bunny hills, i finally learned all by myself after a few sips of tennessee whiskey courage. then i skiied with seven year olds.
conditions were perfect, always snowing, no wind, fluffy, powdery.
and today my body ACHES.
but i kinda wanna go again.
