The Sound was Unmistakable.
She found herself looking up, searching for the sound of discord and chaos. She was quick to check each of her charges for distress and stopped suddenly at one who was suddenly in a place that was never meant for this lifetime.
Not really a charge of her own, not yet, but one she had interest in and watched from the edges of reality. One that in future incarnations would indeed be under her care and guidance.
But something had happened. She turned as if to go to the child, but found herself instead answering the summons of the One.
She understood. There were never any words needed between the two of them. This time was no different.
She would obey, she would go and she would love and guide the child with every ounce of her being.
