"I brought you breakfast," he says over one shoulder. "Sit down at the table, I'll bring it out."

"Hmmm, okay you might be inching off my bad list Smallville. Coffee and breakfast," Lois said, sliding a hand around his waist and pressing against him for a moment. Slipping away she headed towards the table and slid into a chair. Biting her lip as she pulled a newspaper over, Lois began to scan the headlines. "This de Worde guy isn't actually half bad. A little focused on age and he's no me but not bad. And some of the stories- did you know there's an underwater city?"

"Things are different here," he reminds her, and plucks a wedge of orange from her plate. "If something happened, it wouldn't be like back home. I can't do anything here," he adds, his expression briefly clouding as he takes a bite of the orange.

"I'm a big girl Smallville, I can look out for myself. But I don't want you to worry, I want you to come with me. Lois and Clark together in action with maybe a little outside help." Lois said rubbing the back of his hand with her thumb. Looking at him seriously, Lois ducked her head to catch his eyes. "Look at me Clark, you do a whole lot more than you realise even without your powers. Look around, you've not just made us a home, you've made a community."

"If I miss out on a story Smallville, you know you're going to be sleeping on the couch for a month, right?" Lois asked, pressing her lips together before shaking her head. "And I reserve the right to change my mind."
