Layout's gone

Last night I tried to add the link to my new layout under the layouts section, and somehow all the codes for override_lj's layout dissapeared. I think I might have hit escape right before I clicked save changes, causing the text to delete. Sorry for the inconvieance, but override_lj will be down for a while. All the layouts are still here, they're just under a default ( Read more... )

Hey, check out how my communities layout is coming and tell me what you think or give me some suggestions! Also, once it's up and running which should only be in a couple of days, could be affiliates?? I'm going to list them on my userinfo. ♥

Oh, and I haven't checked it in mozilla yet, but i'll get there.

haha, I just remembered I had a dream last night that I had the whole bandwidth exceeded on all my layouts. talk about a nightmare!! What you say is really true that people would use more if I left the pics in. The only thing is photobucket has the whole bandwidth issue. Don't they all? If not, I saw you said imageshack, but do they really let you use as much as you want? I have paid with photobucket right now but I was kind of scared to use it still. I guess I'll just have to read their rules more ( ... )

another question: did you write your own tutorial on how to use the codes and stuff because that just sounds like the biggest pain in the ass. Is there a basic howto or livejournal page I can link to to give directions?

I wrote my own instructions on how to install layouts, here. You can use it too if you'd like, just use the a direct link to it. Many people have commented saying it's the easiest tutorial for installing layouts that they've found. :)

Image shack lets you upload as many images as you want, whenever you want. It's not an account either, you just go to the page (here) and upload the image. It gives you the links to the image, and you're done. The disadvantages of this is you don't have an account where you can go see the images hosted, and sometimes the image links break. However, the pros of having the links already in the layout and not having to worry about people stealing bandwidth and all that stuff out weighs any cons. I've used image shack for ALL my layouts. To keep track of all the images, I have a folder on my computer titled layouts, and inside I have a folder for every layout I've ever made, with all the codes and pictures I used ( ... )
