I'm so excited that The Amazing Race has returned with a whole new season of armchair traveling and second-guessing of Detour choices.
That is all I have to say.
But, even more exciting than the return of TAR was the fact that -- because I watched it live (something I almost never do anymore) -- I saw commercials!
My first political commercial of the season! And it was against
Prop 8. Something tells me this is where the bulk of campaign spending is going to be aimed, at least here in the Bay Area. The low-key
commercial was pretty spot-on, though.
Also tonight? The first commercial for
High School Musical III. I restrained myself from hollering for
miss_begonia only because she is virtuously attempting to do homework, and I am supporting that goal in hopes that she returns to writing porn sometime soon. :) As you do. I'm so amused that this is an actual, theatrical release, though.
And here is the portion of our program where I pick your brains, Flist. I need gifts. Something for my mom's 60th that is heartfelt, relatively inexpensive and travels well. And a wedding gift that hopefully says "Sorry you're marrying a blowhard, but I love you anyway and want you to be happy."
Any ideas?
