he got communism out of poland.

went to the western wall in isreal and asked for forgivness for all the bad stuff catholics did to the jews.

went to countries that everyone forgot about(3rd world) and gave them hope for a better future.

fought oppression against dictators.

made the church a little more down to earth,but it still has a long way to go.
