Mark's Movie Review: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I first became excited about this movie a few months ago when I first heard about it. Johnny Depp as Wonka. I couln't think of anyone better. And I knew with Tim Burton's directing, it was going to be very interesting. I really enjoyed it. Visually, this movie was a masterpiece. The use of many colors in some areas and others that look drap and pale worked well. Burton managed to still pull off the movie in a dark wierd sence while keeping the image bright with color everywhere. The style reminded me a lot of Edward Siscissor Hnads.
The acting was good too. Depp really captured the real Wonka. He seems so terrified to be around those kids. All of the kids did a good job as well. Especially Charlie. But yeah, enough of the review. I reccomend it. It would have to be my #3 movie of 2005.

In other news, my mom is going through a breakup with her boyfriend. Im trying to be there for her but I don't really know what to say. i've helped her out by being there and listening to here and trying to reasure here that everything will work out for the best but I don't know if that is enought. He lives like 2 and a half hours away in MD so that was a big problem. My mom seemed so happy when he was around. Then he just stops calling or picking up the phone when she called him. My mom was willing to move out there when Wes got out of school. She was ready to start over again in a new place because she really cared about him. Then he has to go be a dickhead and not talk to her. Just leave her hanging on wether they are dating or not. They finally talked today and he said he wanted to take a break. I just want her to be happy. She has had horrible luck in relationships. Both my father and Wes' father both left when she got pregnant. She has been engaged twice since then followed by bad break ups. Then this. I just don't know what to do.
