When Chip wakes up, there's something familiar- and unexpected.
No, not Dale. Dale's gotten out of bed and is somewhere out of view (in the bathroom? In the kitchen?).
Instead, there is a large black tomcat curled up on his chest. A familiar one, even: it's Shadow, who stopped begging for food at his apartment! And said cat is watching him. When he awakens, the cat notes "Miaow," and leans to scent-mark Chip's face.
