A Month and A Half??

Schezchuan cuisine is fucking amazing.
I am full of crazy radish soup and spicy green beans.
We have pages upon pages of reading to do.
And I'm going to camp on the Great Wall.
I stood in Tiananmen for hours in a crowd of 300,000,
on the Chinese National Holiday.
Every day I eat dumplings and noodles
and fruit I don't know the name of.
An Angolan diplomat from the other ngiht keeps texting me.
They like neon lights here, and I am constantly entranced.
I feel extremely far away from everyone.
It's easy to feel isolated in such a big place,
where no one can speak your language,
and everyone stares at you -
like you've got a metal ring through your nose or something.
I can't focus and I have a paper to write.
Some things will always be the same I guess.

Also, today in class:

Me: "I don't really understand what they mean by 'echo' on page 268, it seems contradictary. I was wondering if it was a mistranslation or something - what does the original Chinese text say?"
Stu: "Oh, well the Chinese text just says [Chinese word]."
*Silence*
Me: "Gee thanks, Stuart. That was mad helpful."
