You do realize that you're asking me this while canon only really shows him with like... long hair.

-bowlcut as a kid. I mean, ew. This trauma probably turned him off short hair.
-I betcha he tried curling his hair once. ONCE AND ONLY ONCE.
-Allowing some girls to braid his hair and thus being perceived as one of them back in junior high.
-layers. It just doesn't live to the hype.
-Personally, I hate his new haircut at the end of the series.
