George only felt safe with Elliot by his side. Before the Brodus fiasco, he’d been supremely confident; almost an alpha male of sorts. Now, he found himself getting attacked often; he wasn’t sure if it was the suspects getting stronger or him getting weaker. It disturbed him: sometimes he wondered if he should quit.
Yet each time he interrogated a suspect, Elliot was there to protect him. Each time, Elliot helped him. Elliot made him safe: like a bodyguard, but better, because Elliot was his lover too.
He still felt safe.
