We took a two day trip to Atlanta and had a blast. The Georgia Aquarium isn't all that big, but it's got some awesome exhibits and it well put together. Tanya was crazy about the baluga whales and the whale sharks, me and the critter loved the river otters (think ferrets on speed).
The main area had a huge light system that was constantly changeing colors and was beautiful, lots and lots of vibrant colors that just sprung out.
The best part of the aquarium was just watching Tanya. She's so crazy about sea mamals and watching her near them was incredible, the complete wonder on her face.
And wouldn't you know my luck, the hotel we stayed in that night was right next to a strip joint but it was Sunday. *shakes fist at sky in impotent rage*
The next day was Six Flags and not only do they have some great rides but there was a water play area that Sheniah was crazy over. The Superman ride is most definately the best rollercoaster I've ever been on. Not only is the gimmick of riding faceing down incredible, but the coaster itself is just awesome. And the Goliath is a close second. Of the rides, Sheniah loved the water ones, was crazy over them.
And one of them (a Fury of the Nile style) had one of the best ideas I've ever seen at an amusement park. There's a series of big water nozzles pointig over the ride and for a quarter each you can stand there and blast the people floating by who are on the ride. Man, I could blow a paycheck there nailing people.
