Fatherhood...

Was in the midst of a tickle fight with my daughter the other day, both of us going at it like crazy and I was convincing her that she really was getting the best of me. At some point she got up and ran into the kitchen to get ice to put down my shirt, I ran after her. As she went out the other end of the room I turned around to catch her in the hallway, when I can around the corner at her she let out this scream that had me on my knees laughing so hard I couldn't see. She was so into playing and laughing that when I surprised her, the blood curdeling scream was so loud and full of laughter it just infected me in a way that I can't describe. I live for those moments.

Last night was the party, one of the guys I worked with was inviting everyone over for drinking. First time in a LONG while that I've had jungle juice (big bucket with LOTS of liquor and fruit and juice) and I got really fucked up. I drank more than I have in many many years, luckily I drank enough water that I didn't get sick and as I sit here typing I feel pretty damn good (due in equal measures to not being hungover and still being just a bit under the influence). Not only did we have a lot of fun (played this funny robot game, four of us at the same time, and Sheniah had a BLAST trying to help me play it) but I met a bunch of gamers so when I get back from KC should be able to start something up. And I'm hoping that Sheniah is old enough to not only understand how to play, but be interested as well (as long as there's no other kids to play with, I know where her priorities will lie).

Thing between me and Tanya are a lot better than I ever imagined they'd be. She has very calmly accepted the fact that after we get back from KC that we will be legally seperating. Money is an issue, with the way the Army works about seperation and her not working right now, but we'll deal with it as it comes along.
There's been various reassurances that we'll remain friends, stay in Sheniah's life no matter what, when I PCS (move to another base) that Tanya will move as well, and (Tanya was quite emmotional about this one) that we'll still game together.

Wow, long post, but I haven't been talking much lately, busy!

Went to bath/body works to pick up stuff to send to the_mac_danee (I need your mailing address) and we walked by a shoe store. Apparently, my daughter inherited my familie's addiction to shoes so she just HAD to go in. And wouldn't you know it, she found a sale. So she walked away with two pairs of shoes, one of which are formals that she's been showing to every one that'll sit still long enough. She's so cute about new shoes, Tanya just doesn't get excited about clothes like that so it's so funny to watch her.

Ok, I think that's enough for now.
