Yeah!
I got a big long box today, form Tandy. My leather is in!
This is the brown half hide, going to get a vegetable tanned black hide next month for making the bondage stuff.
This one was intended for books, like the Books of shadows, but there's good and bad news about that.
I don't think the leather is stiff enough to make books (think, because I've only snicked off a corner of the leather to see what it's like, haven't gotten it out of the box yet). But it seems like it's great leather for making various items out of, bags and such. So we'll see.
And while i'm on the subject of getting good stuff, Christmas was great. I got a lot of stuff I'll really enjoy and some things that I needed. My sister got me the Transformer's DVD and my wife got me a Transformer chess set, my dear friends in AZ got me a bunch of munchkin cards (I now have all the cards to the cthuhlu set!) and various and asundry items. It was great.
The Christams meal was, in my opinion, better than the Thanksgiving one. But that's mainly due to the fact that the salmon was better than they usually do (and I do looooove salmon).
Christmas was great, but overall still fighting off the depression. Successfully so far, I might add. Really, REALLY missing my daughter, this is my favorite time of the year and the first time I've missed either Yule or Christmas with her. *sigh* I'm not letting it get me down, just been a little quiet and a bit withdrawn lately Not avoiding anyone, just not going out of my way to talk or contact anybody. Still just diving into the chainmaille as a way to keep my mind occupied.
