(no subject)
I made it to ritual, thankfully, and it was great. I got voluntold to call South right after I got there so still got to actively participate and everything seem to work well. The ritual fire was quite popular with how cold it was and since I was calling South I took as my responsibility to look after it. So it had a nice solid bank of red hot coals radiating the heat very nicely by the time the ritual was over and everyone was huddled around it.
Don't know why but it can still surprise just how much I enjoy and look forward to the rituals, and circle. Not only breaks up the groundhog day effect but also so energizing. And the cakes and ale were German cookies and (nasty) red wine instead of water and wonder bread ;)
Someone made a comment about my leatherworking and crafts so I commented that I'm getting into a new one, chain maille jewelry. Well, remember the women who's eyes lit up when I mentioned that I did leatherwork? She did the same thing at the mention of chainmaille.
Another person basically put in an order for a necklace so I'll get a bunch of rings ordered after the nets paycheck comes in.
There was a new girl there, contractor all full of smiles and laughing that I was flirting with a bit whenever I could. But, I had to leave right after ritual to get to work. But I figured I'd see her on Friday.
Then at work the high priest calls me (we both work nights so we keep each other awake at times. I can tell by the time he called me just after he got into to work, seems had just HAD to brag about the fact that he had spent the last hour or so making out with said new girl. That doesn't bother me, except for the fact that he found out she's only here for a month.
