It's not that I don't enjoy a good challenge every now and then--it's just it'd be nice if it didn't put the whole world at risk every single time, you know?

He has to admit he enjoys a good spar, however there aren't many he feels comfortable sparing with because of the severity of his style. He felt comfortable enough with Mitsuhide-dono, but otherwise he has not found anyone.
Though he will admit, his enemies have never threatened the whole world. All of Japan? Maybe. The world? Not so much.

Your other identity?
...Well, I've been called the strongest before too, but I'd rather not claim that title. I mean, I train and stuff, but I don't really think there's really a way to know for sure if you're the strongest or not, especially considering the opponents I've fought. A lot of them haven't even been from Earth, and the universe is a pretty big place.
I'm...actually kinda the same way. I mean, I could probably spar with just about anyone, but I'd be worried I might hurt them or something. I'm not exactly human, so...
Yeah, it's gotten to be a pretty bad cycle. We'll have a couple years of peace, but then some android or alien-thing will show up and try to blow up the planet or something. It's really getting annoying.

...I see. I can understand why you'd want to leave that behind you. And you're right--we can only ever move forward. It's good that you're trying to do that.
I hope it isn't the case too, Kenshin, but...I'm not quite sure I understand. How does being related to your first wife give this guy legitimate claim to your life?

It was an accident... a horrible, horrible accident that he would gladly trade his own life for to reverse... but his sword took her life... He was so injured that he couldn't see her. He couldn't hear her. He didn't even know she was there until he smelled her perfume... and by then it was too late...
But it was his fault... he took her life... his actions drove her decisions to be there in the first place. His sword stole her happiness. His sword destroyed her family... Enishi has every right to seek his Jinchuu...
But only on him.

You shouldn't blame yourself for that. It was an accident. Sometimes things happen that we can't control, and vengeance never makes things better. It can only make them worse.

We all make mistakes. We wouldn't be human if we didn't. The important thing isn't that we made mistakes in the past--it's learning from them and trying to do better.
