Headcanon
Headcanon information for Hajime at reimsacademy.
G E N E R A L L Y
→ Hajime has attended Reims since entering high school. He is currently in his second year and has thus been active on campus for one year.
→ Japanese is his native tongue and he speaks English fluently.
→ He's very conservative. Men should be men and women should be women. He himself isn't exactly the poster child for his ideals but he maintains the appearance.
→ He's popular in the canon with girls so if you'd like your character to develop a crush on him, that's A-OK! Just be aware that he not reciprocate. At all. And give a very blunt rejection. In fact, he might be insulted that a girl confessed to him when her makeup isn't perfect and as for confessions from boys, he'll shoot them down immediately. He's straight but doesn't have a girlfriend and doesn't seem to express any interest in getting himself one.
A C A D E M I C A L L Y
→ Hajime strives to do everything perfectly and thus he excels in all his classes. He doesn't seem to have one superior subject. This may be due to the fact that he doesn't really enjoy the subject, only the reward of earning high marks.
→ Because of this, he studies rigorously after school and clubs. He tends to barricade himself in his room or find a secluded part of the library rather than study in an area like the commons.
→ That said, he earns outstanding marks in art. He has a steady hand and is ace with aesthetics. He has an appreciation for beautiful things so art secretly comes very natural to him.
→ Hajime is part of the kendo team. He does a lot of strange training all in the name of kendo so it's not surprising to see him swimming laps, jogging around, lifting weights, or participating in any sport not kendo... Don't ask how it helps him, he just does it.
→ He wakes up very early for training. He does solo training before classes begin and then his team training during club hours. After that, he studies. The time after the studying and before bed is recreation time. He does what he wants when he wants so it's hard to say what exactly he does during that time. It's safe to say it'll be makeup-related, either buying makeup, playing around with it, or attacking some makeup forsaken girl.
→ He likes to make sure school rules are properly followed, that uniforms are worn correctly, expects perfect attendance, finishes his schoolwork promptly, and times curfews to the second.
→ He doesn't go out of his way to help others. Quite the opposite, actually. If he deems somebody his enemy, he'll randomly show up and initiate a challenge of whatever is going on. Say you're not on his good side and currently in class with him: guess who won't be happy getting paired up? And then try to imagine what it's like when your lab partner recklessly tries to outshine your work, causing a giant havoc of the class.
→ He eats his lunches alone in a corner of the cafeteria. He doesn't mind if others sit at his table but doesn't like it, either. He probably won't acknowledge them and will actually become angry if they try to talk to him. While he eats, he usually reviews class notes. He keeps a copy of Makeup in Vogue tucked between pages to gaze at longingly and easily turn the page if anybody approaches him.
→ On the topic of notes, Hajime has perfect notes, perfect handwriting, and refuses to share no matter what the condition.
→ He carries mint lip balm in his pencil bag. He keeps a small tube of lotion on his person at all times to use after washing his hands.
D O R M I T O R Y
→ His dorm is North Quad 509. He rooms with Edward Elric.
→ Hajime is very strict about the trash in the room. In fact, it may be said that he has an ungodly amount of trash and thus takes it out every day (twice a day when he's in an extremely bad or good mood). The reason for this is that they're tissues from masturbating cleaning up makeup. Characters are free to think that he just likes to be extremely clean.
→ He keeps his makeup hidden away in a trunk which he keeps under his bed. He has pretty much everything you can find in a M•A&cull;C super-boutique.
→ There is a second compact bag which he carries to and from the showers. When he showers, he wears only his robe and hides the bag underneath a towel. The compact bag has, but is not limited to, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and after spray. All the scents match, by the way. He prefers to bathe instead of shower but he'll take what he can get.
→ He doesn't like hanging around the common areas but might show up if there is a romantic comedy drama playing... He'll comment on how annoying it is to have the noise in the background but watch it in his peripheral vision.
→ He avoids calling home like the plague but talks to his family every other week at eight in the evenings on Sundays. He regularly receives a monthly package from home on the first of every month and communicates by letter every Sunday.
R E L A T I O N S H I P S
→ He is an unofficial member of Kuranosuke's club. He drops by regularly, lectures, gives makeup demonstrations, and generally enjoys himself but refuses to join officially.
