It's a shame they don't keep well overnight.

They do pretty well in the fridge - or if you make them fresh, but your right. Day olds, just aren't the same.

Do they? They generally don't last long enough for me to tell.

. . . Still, cakes keep well over days. It can't be impossible to make doughnuts do the same.

True, but I still think the hot and fresh are the best!

You'll make me order the whole bakery's stock, at this rate. Do you know what kind they have here?

They have just about any kind you could want! Plain, powdered, chocolate, sprinkles, all kinds of frosting, frosting with sprinkles, orange, apple, cinnamon, pretty much any flavor you imagine! The bakers here are amazing!

I suppose that settles breakfast! Doughnuts are your favourite foods, I take it.

One of them! Salmon sandwiches are delicious as well!

Salmon. . . sandwiches. . . ah, they're fairly good, you're right! The meat's always a bit thin, though.

I like to put a bit of cheese and lettuce on mine!

I'm not so sure about the lettuce.

But the cheese sounds good! With some sort of dressing, perhaps.

[ A pause. There's some rustling in the background of somebody shuffling through their kitchen stock and occasionally muttering "peanut butter. . ." and "ugh, sardines". ]

Hmmm, mayo might be good on that.

Mm, mayo might work. It goes on chips best, though.

[ . . . ]

I think I'm getting hungrier.
