There's. . .

[ Little puffs, ragged and out of breath. ]

There's a body-just past the barracks. . . off the path towards the mountains. He's dead, but I'd. . . appreciate if someone could take him into town.

To everyone who's suffered a loss, I'm so sorry.

[ A small pause. ]

...Allen? You're okay, right?

[ Pause and a lot of hesitation. He's not exactly keen on dead bodies but Allen's been running around for everyone else. And one person having to do this is just...wrong. ]

...I can go get the body. Where should I leave him?

I-

[ He isn't thinking. All he knows is that, Noah or not, it isn't fair to leave a body unburied by the wayside somewhere. But Luceti doesn't have coffins, or places to hold the dead. ]

I'm fine. [ And it's probably a terrible idea to ask Alice, but he doesn't have many options at the moment. ] An empty room in one of the buildings, please. The Malnosso should do the rest.

...well not fine, but you're alive. [ That's better than nothing. Sometimes it's all they have after all. ]

I'll do that. Don't know why you bother but if that's what you want.

'Alive' counts as fine, I think.

I'm sorry to have to trouble you. Are you sure you wouldn't mind?

Close enough or something. [ A wry smile. ]

...stop apologizing. Someone should do it, right? So I'll do it.

Someone should. It still counts as dying, even here.

. . . Saying "thank you" isn't as bad as apologising, is it?

I guess not.

...I'll let you know when I...when I've settled him. [ He's gonna go and look now~ ...and find nothing? ]

Thank you, then, Alice.

[ There's clues if Alice can spot them: very far out of town, a trail on the path of somebody being half-dragged, a flat patch of grass as if a body had been deposited and left there for a while. But no actual body, no. ]

[ He'll look, for about as long as he can stand but he'll head back inside after an hour or two. ]

Hey, Allen!

[ He's not sure how to say this. ]

Alice? Is something wrong?

Uh...maybe? [ Maybe someone else took the body? Not that he can really imagine why unless Allen asked someone else as well. ]

Did anyone else offer to go take care of that guy?

[ This pause is the sound of Allen to think. The past few hours are a little hazy. ]

I asked the girl who brought me in to see if she could send someone. I didn't think she would.

...maybe the Malnosso took care of it already.

[ But there was no body. That's kinda creepy no matter how you put it. ]

. . . ah, maybe that's it. I never asked how long it took.

I wouldn't know either since I haven't been here long.

[ Only there was signs of dragging... But really does Allen need to worry about more? It probably wouldn't make a difference in the end if people just came back to life anyways. ]

Anyways, you don't have to think about it anymore since it's out of your hands.

I suppose that's true. . . I can't do anything about it right now.
