[ there's just a blotch of ink in the journal, as if someone's resting the pen against the paper but hasn't yet come up with what to say. ]

It's a pleasure to see you again too, Allen. Well, only for a few months but we did chat quite a bit. You've told me about your work with the Church back in your world. I am of the Church as well. I am a Bishop.

If you don't mind my asking, could you tell me what your work is like? I've never had the chance to hear about churches from other worlds before.

Well, I usually stay back at our main cathedral where I work as a healer, herbalist and gardener. We are all trained to fight Kors though. Kors are the in a way, kind of like the Akuma in your world. They corrupt the hearts of men and it is up to us to cleanse those who are affected and destroy the Kors before they can taint our flock.

[ This time, there's a long pause before he answers. ]

Working in gardens seems like very peaceful work. But, as for the Kors-you can save people from the taint completely?

Yes, it is plus the flowers are good company and nice to talk with. [And he really means it when he says talk with since he can communicate with and control them]

Yes, we can. People who have been tainted and made a deal with the Kors to grant their wishes have a visible mark on them called 'Verloren's Curse'. All Bishops have the power to remove this curse and free them from the Kors influence.
