[ In 948 Beulah Street, there is a new, non-drone dad in charge. This dad is, like many new arrivals, vastly unhappy. This is for multiple reasons, starting with being in Mayfield in the first place. The second reason would be that he has stupid 50 clothes, and had to dig for jeans and a regular damn t-shirt. He'll have to upgrade the wardrobe

[ he sounds relieved! BUT THEN REALIZES OH CRAP NOW THEY'RE BOTH HERE? he would never wish this on dean. :| but.... it's nice to not be alone. ]
Dean, where are you?
[ wait haven't they had this conversation before... ]
Reply
Cas!
[ Another silence. ]
Some house. I only looked outside, I didn't go out yet. Hang on.
[ The phone is left to dangle from the chord for a moment, but Dean runs to the front door to get the address and is back in a couple seconds. ]
948 Beulah. Where the hell are you, Cas?

[ HANGS UP ON DEAN. All but runs out of the house, much to DroneWife's chagrin. He hates being human gdit. He can't poof, he can barely sprint. It takes him much longer than he'd like to get to Dean's house.
Have him knocking, repeatedly, LOUDLY, obnoxiously, on your door. ]
Reply
Knocking causes him to start, and he looks around the kitchen quickly for anything he can use. First thing he grabs is a canister of salt, and then he's rushing to the door.
... and then opening it and staring, salt behind back. ]
Why the hell didn't you... [ Vague handwaving with free hand as he tries to ask the question, though he thinks he knows the answer and is vaguely horrified again at the thought of it. ]
Reply
[ gestures to himself. Note the lack of trench coat, the sweater vest, the terribly tacky tie his drone wife picked out. ]
I'm human here, Dean.
Reply
Man... I'm sorry, Cas. [ REALLY LOOK AT THAT HONEST FACE. ] C'mon, get in here before someone sees that thing.
[ Doesn't give him time to respond, reaching to tug tie and thus Cas into the house. ]
Reply
[ Frowns down at his tie and is dragged inside.
It's a good thing he didn't pay any attention to those creepy statues that have appeared all over town. ]

This thing is so hideous I forgot about freaking out.
[ Tugtugs it off, stuffing it into a jeans pocket. No tie for you. ]
You sure you are?
Reply
My.... wife forced me to wear it.
[ sobbing. ]
Yes. I still have my Grace, but...
Reply
Mine's... in the bedroom.
[ Awkward. So awkward. He was with Lisa before, damnit. ]
Not connected to the network? Is it this fucked up place?
[ Takes up the salt again, opening it so he can work on salting the door as they speak. ]
Reply
This place can apparently trap anyone and anything. Upon arrival everyone is completely human.
[ will just... watch him. although rly Cas is (unsure) if that will even help... ]
Reply
So I'm just going to take a stab in the dark and say that Gabriel's not behind this.
[ Sounds so doubtful about that, but continues salting. IT'S WORTH TRYING OKAY. ]
Reply
No. Gabriel is not here.
I believe he was still dead, before I arrived.
[ awkwaaaaaaaaaaaard. ]
Reply
[ Trusts Castiel's angel senses, before and after cray cray Mayfield land. If he was still dead, then he was still dead. ]
So... [ Stands upright and examines his work. ] Zachariah? He likes the time travel shit, anyways.
Reply
[ Frowns at Dean. ]
This wasn't done by anything I know, Dean. I've been here for two days. There is no sign of any angelic or demonic influences.
[ pauses. ]
Many people have likened this place to Hell, however.
Reply
[ But crosses those off the list, waving for Cas to follow as he goes about... salting the rest of the place for the night. His wife will probably clean it up later siiiiigh.
He lets out a humorless bark of a laugh at that. ]
Wow, I'd like to meet those dumbasses.
