Working backwards in my reply here.... Thank you for bringing this to me personally. I only read the anoncomm when one of my friends mentions something specific, so if you had posted it there I either wouldn't have seen it or by that point wouldn't have been willing to take it as a serious concern (so much of anoncomm is wank baiting).
For LJ cuts, they're usually done as a courtesy if the post is over two paragraphs long. Mine are typically started with one or two sentences, so an lj-cut wouldn't save any space at all on the flist page. I'm not verbose, especially in starting logs, which is sort of a courtesy in itself XD If I write any that are over two paragraphs I'll make sure I cut them, though.
As for that specific log I'm sorry if it offended you. I disagree on the rating, personally; the mentions of the piercings were far less explicit than what you would find on primetime tv (I'm thinking of CSI, Law&Order, and even Bones specifically). I deliberately avoided graphic descriptions and Lucifer and Jinx tend to share only veiled implications of what they do in locked threads. But that being said, the rating isn't the problem if it hurt someone. If something is technically rated PG but is still offensive, then it's still a problem. I do sincerely apologize if you or anyone else was offended by it, I've been playing Lucifer long enough that I tend to be loose in my judgment of what might step on toes. I'll be more careful in the future.
Again, thank you for bringing this to me here, I really do appreciate it. This is a much more reliable avenue for me; when I first started playing Lucifer I was actually very active with him, but it requires a lot of research on other canons and I've become reluctant to put so much time into threads. I hadn't even realized I was excluding people or that it looked deliberate until people brought it up to me one-on-one like this.
Thank you for your politeness in receiving this comment. I do understand your reasoning for rating disagreement and would, on second thought, perhaps lower my perception of the rating to PG-13+. On your thoughts regarding cuts, I do see the trend you mention in short log intros and respect your decision in this as well. Thank you for taking my concerns into consideration and replying in this manner. I was truly happy to see Lucifer's circle of contacts broadening during this recent event and I hope it may be something to be repeated in the future.
Having played a God-mode-y character myself in the past (Death from another Takarazuka musical), I agree that getting involved in so many canons can be difficult, especially since the information people share in permission posts isn't always easily deciphered. Just as a suggestion, I could imagine that if there are characters you would be interested in interacting with, but aren't sure how to work their canons or the information they have given in your permission post, PMing their muns about the specific thoughts/memories/etc that Lucifer would pick up on would be a direct and easy way to get CR started without having to sit down and watch an hour of various clips and what not.
:)
Please continue to take care and have fun with your character. Don't let bitchy anons get to you, although - having been on the receiving end of wank in the past - I know it can be demotivating and difficult to move past.
