eff yeah

Ok, it's time for a short and deserved rant. And Nick.... I'm not just complaining on my lj, I promise i'm doing something about it simulateously. Clearly that up first...

So all 35 of us Advertising majors who were recently added into the college were not put into circle Park online as being in the ad college. Since Ad and Public Relations used to be one college, the PR people pretty much still take all of our classes. So, I was allowed to register for my classes last Thursday, however since I wasn't in the college, I wasn't allowed to.

Slowly and slowly more and more people have been allowed to register and no on in the ad department can get into our classes, but guess who is... that's right! The PR people are getting in the classes we need. We're all required to take 350 and 360, and for some reason there is only 1.. count it... 1 class of 360 offered for all 75 of us (the class holds 35) and 2.. yes, 2 350's offered. The funniest part is... one of the two 350s is scheduled at the SAME TIME that the 360 is offered!!! That's probably the smartest thing I've ever heard of.

So after contacting my advisor, head of the ad dept, and the person in charge of adding ad students to CPO... they still haven't fixed the problem... and not one of us ad majors have gotten into our classes. Well today is Tuesday, almost 5 days after I was allowed to sign up and guess what.... the 350 class that DOESn'T conflict with 360 is completely full!!! Who'da thunk it!!

Now... ordinarily this wouldn't be the end of the world, I'll miss the class no biggy, but because Advertising has to be taken in a sequence, i already have 3 more semesters to go. Aka, I'm going to graduate a semester late. BUT... if I don't take 350 AND 360 this semester, guess what! V's graduating a YEAR late... yes... a YEAR. The other funny thing is that i don't have any electives left. The only classes that I have left to take at the University of Tennessee are Advertising 350, 360, 380, 450, 470, and 490. Then I'm done. If I don't somehow magically get added to the 350 class that I need and 360, then tomorrow when I meet with my ignorant advisor who thinks not being advised is my problem, I'll reach across the desk and probably pull her nose off.

Alright. I feel better.
