So tonight around 10:35 pm, Katey and I headed to Lakeshore Park perform our insane ritual. We noticed that where the moon should've been, there were infinite clouds and lots of lighting too. The moon was there... somewhere... but we didn't know where. So we spun in circles and howled.
Lakeshore probably wasn't the place to be spinning in circles and howling... but we didn't think of that at the time. All of a sudden, we saw people walking around with a spot light (probably looking for run-away lunatics... which we looked liked).
Katey and I nonchalantly headed back to our cars and acted like nothing was wrong. :) They passed right by us. WHEW- So! The good news is, we got to howl at the moon... I think...
Next step: wait for the men to come running... however I've learned that it probably won't be any men that read my livejournal, because they all think i'm pscyhotic now. HAHA. (i swear I'm sane... we're just running out of things to do this summer).
Katey just informed me that she spotted the moon when she was walking with her mom and the dogs around 11. Her and her mom stopped and howled, one last time for good measure. The dogs joined in.
Tomorrow Lauren's sorority sisters from Indiana are driving in. They'll get here around 6. Lauren's giving them her "Tour of Tennessee," well, East Tennessee that is. First, the whole crew's hopping on my boat and we're driving up river to Calhouns where a certain Caleb Boaz is ensured to by our waitor. Lauren's gonna figure something out after dinner.
Saturday is "Gatlinburg Day." I don't know if I wanna go or not... I've been more times than I can count. She might be doing that one alone. Saturday night is a toss up. Lauren is insisting on taking those girls to Kelly Clarkson. (Poor Kelly, she hasn't even sold out the first balcony at Civic). If Lauren wants to go buy tickets at the box office tomorrow, by all means.
That's my weekend in a nutshell... and it hasn't even happened yet.
Today at work was hilarious... well not so much for my uncle, but for an onlooker... He decided to purchase a house on Morrell Road and turn it into an office building. The place went on the market yesterday... he found out, left the office this morning around 10 to go make an offer... then came back after lunch and decided he had made a grave mistake. First thing he did was call all of his friends to say how excited he was. Then he called my aunt who freaked out! He hadn't consulted anyone about this!! Just an impulse buy.
He then called my dad who was like, "Tommy...are you crazy??" Which made my uncle really really nervous. So... he started pacing the office... right behind my chair, literally pacing. I wanted to laugh but I couldn't because he was freaking out so much. He called the realtor about 5 times in 30 minutes for reassurance. Finally the realtor called him back and said his offer was too low and Tommy was really happy. Now he can actually THINK about it.
Today he showed me some kid's portfolio that just graduated from UT's graphic design. BLAH. It was horrible! I'm already better than that kid. Everytime I see some graphic art that my uncle actually likes, I think to myself, "Yeah know what, I bet Christian can do that... only probably better." C-dawg- (christian, i've given you a new nickname) we're gonna be partners some day- ok?
